Teton Ridge’s competitive exhibition, highlighting the legacy and current popularity of the western performance horseman all while shaping the future of the industry. The event showcases five teams consisting of three athletes each. These teams are composed of one cutting, reining and reined cowhorse trainer, paired with their equine athlete of choice.
The American Performance Horseman made its debut in 2023 and is set to take place on March 8 2024 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX. This year’s entertainment included Luke Bryan performing on Friday and the highly anticipated Post Malone on Saturday after The American Rodeo, the sister competition also held at Globe Life and put on by Teton Ridge.
With $1 Million in collective winnings at stake, the competition is expected to be intense this weekend. This event is one of the very few events that the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA), the National Reined Cowhorse Association (NRCHA) and the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) are being showcased together.
The previous year’s champions, Adan Banuelos, Sarah Dawson, and Casey Deary, were interviewed by another industry leader, The Converse Cowboy in a mini series presented by Kimes Ranch, "Return of the Champions." These interviews offer insights into the event and delves into the mindset of top performers. (Click HERE to see the Series)
Adding to the experience, The Converse Cowboy will be present at the Kimes Ranch booth on Friday and Saturday before the performance offering attendees the chance to experience his renowned "poster quotes" firsthand.
We hope to see you there!
